Research lines

1.- Use, adequacy, effectiveness and equity of health services.

The objective is to study the use, adequacy and equity in the use of health services, analyzing the existing variability and identifying its associated factors. In addition, the analysis of the effectiveness or its effect in real, non-experimental conditions, of preventive or therapeutic treatments.

2.- Identification of factors associated with the disease, patient profiles and health inequalities.

The objective is to increase knowledge about the health status of the population and its causes, the identification of patient profiles for the development of personalized medicine and the detection of health inequalities, using large population-based databases.

3.- Clinical Safety and Healthcare Quality.

The objective is to develop studies aimed at improving knowledge of the frequency and distribution of adverse events related to health care, and to assess the efficacy and safety of clinical practice.
